Amy hails from Dallas, Texas. She attended Dallas Baptist University, earning a B.A. in Music and studying voice lessons with Dr. Wes Moore. After college, Amy spent 6 months as a co-director and producer for youth theatre, while performing in the United Kingdom. Since then, she has taught private voice lessons to both middle and high school students, and choreographed show choir and musical theatre. Amy sings professionally and passionately pursues her acting career.
Mrs. Duesing toured the country as part of the cast of the highly acclaimed production of All Hands On Deck!, a patriotic USO style tribute to the music of the 1940s. She also played a lead role in the workshop of A Wall Apart, a musical by Lord Graham Russell of Air Supply. Amy has performed at Bass Hall, Carnegie Hall, York Minster, St. Paul’s Cathedral, live on BBC Radio, and in numerous smaller venues throughout the USA.
Amy recently returned to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, and now teaches private voice lessons in Keller ISD and Wylie ISD. Amy’s students have continually excelled in All-Region Choirs, and Solo and Ensemble contests. Mrs. Duesing works to inspire young singers to use consistent, healthy technique that will be the basis for a lifetime of singing. Amy hopes that her students will grow into well-rounded performers and continue in a love of singing, either as professionals or passionate shower-singers!
